A little solitude I seek --
A cabin on a mountain peak,
A rocking chair, an endless view --
An evening lost in thoughts of you.

Imagining a Moment
Chopin in my ears; life slows down and I
close eyes and see a moment that might be
or might not be; a drop of last night's rain
dripping down, falling from roof to stone,
in a second, in an hour, time crawls
I see a girl walking and talking with
words on her lips, thoughts not yet fully
formed, perhaps telling another soul
the quickly fading memories of last night's
dream, and the emotion -- oh the emotion!
"It felt so real," she says, "I was in love."
Chopin's Nocturne speeds up, slows down, ends
Imagination follows suit; time returns to the
"speed of life," as Keane would undoubtedly
point out, quoting himself, were he here...
close eyes and see a moment that might be
or might not be; a drop of last night's rain
dripping down, falling from roof to stone,
in a second, in an hour, time crawls
I see a girl walking and talking with
words on her lips, thoughts not yet fully

Springtime
We used to talk for hours on end.
I called you Love; you called me Friend.
But then the Autumn turned to grey,
And you found less and less to say.
Your heart turned cold when Winter came;
And yet I love you all the same!
Do you now leave me in the dust?
But go your way; I know you must.
When you return, I'll still be here;
I'll see you in the Springtime, dear.
I called you Love; you called me Friend.
But then the Autumn turned to grey,
And you found less and less to say.
Your heart turned cold when Winter came;
And yet I love you all the same!
Do you now leave me in the dust?
But go your way; I know you must.
When you return, I'll still be here;
I'll see you in the Springtime, dear.

Ten Thousand Words
"Dearest you"
"Yours Truly, me"
between the two
ten thousand words
"Yours Truly, me"
between the two
ten thousand words
a paper sky
of inky birds
of inky birds
born to fly
oh, endlessly.
oh, endlessly.

Better Words Than Mine.
Song of Solomon 8:6-7
King James Version (KJV)
6Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
7Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.
